I’ve been a freelance writer for years, during which time I’ve written for a lot of publications: Paste, the Riverfront Times, Eleven Music Magazine, Escapist Magazine, Star Trek dot com, the Jefferson County Leader, The 9s, and others. I’ve written on topics I was deeply passionate about (sci-fi, movies, politics), topics I was completely new to (see below, competitive boomerang throwing), and topics I really wasn’t a fan of (ad copy for dietary supplements, research on ‘male enhancement’ pills, etc.)

I like to say I can write, competently and entertainingly, about any subject I’m tasked with. I’d prefer to only write about things I like — who wouldn’t — but I like the challenge of writing outside my comfort zone.
